Welcome to Quorn Area School
Quorn Area School provides quality learning experiences, enhancing students' opportunities to achieve their personal best and encouraging them to make positive contributions in our changing society.
The remote R-12 school services a bi-cultural community involved in agricultural, tourism, trade and service industries.
The school values of 'respect, responsibility, honesty and trustworthiness, understanding, tolerance and inclusion and doing your best' are reflected throughout the school.
Core subjects are English, Maths, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Music, Art, Health and Physical Education.
Senior secondary students learn through a combination of Open Access, e-Leaning and face-to-face delivery models and vertical groupings, and can also study vocational education and training units and participate in school-based apprenticeships.
Students with special needs and specific learning difficulties are supported by our special education teacher, school service officers and Learning Assistance Program (LAP) volunteers.
Aboriginal Education is identified as a priority in the School Learning Plan and Aboriginal students are supported by our Aboriginal Education Team.
